Vanilla Porridge with Warm Berries

This porridge is perfect for this time of year. I would say that it reminds me of crumble. Obviously the lack of butter and sugar makes it not a crumble and no where near as delicious. Fortunately, these ingredients are perfect for breakfast! Liven up your porridge with this recipe :)
Ingredients
100ml of oats
200ml of milk (any kind)
1 tsp vanilla extract or vanilla sugar
a handful of fresh or frozen berries
a sprinkle of sea salt (optional).
a sprinkle of granola or toasted nuts
Preparation
- Combine your oats and water in a microwave safe bowl. Microwave for 2 minutes.
- Add your vanilla extract and mix.
- Heat your berries in the microwave or on the stove until warm and slightly softened.
- Top your porridge with the fruit. Sprinkle on your toasted nuts or granola and a bit of sea salt. The salt helps balance out the sweetness and should not actually taste salty.
